Dipslides & Microbial Test Kits
Dipslides are a simple and effective tool for detecting and monitoring microbial contamination across a wide range of environments. Each dipslide contains two agar media surfaces that allow microorganisms such as bacteria, yeasts, and moulds to grow after sampling. Once incubated, the resulting colonies can be compared with a reference chart to estimate microbial levels and assess hygiene or contamination risks.
Thanks to their ease of use, rapid results, and minimal equipment requirements, dipslides are widely used for routine microbiological monitoring in both laboratory and on-site testing applications.
Dipslides are commonly used across a variety of sectors, including:
Food and beverage production – environmental and hygiene monitoring
Water systems and environmental testing – monitoring cooling towers, process water, and drinking water
Healthcare and clinical laboratories – microbiological screening and contamination monitoring
Cosmetics and personal care manufacturing – testing raw materials, water systems, and production environments
Industrial processes – monitoring microbial growth in fluids, systems, and surfaces
By incorporating dipslides into regular testing programmes, organisations can identify contamination risks early, verify cleaning procedures, and support compliance with quality and safety standards. Their compact design and straightforward interpretation make them a practical and cost-effective solution for ongoing microbiological monitoring.
